Congratulations Mary J. Blige: Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

Mary J. Blige continued a special California weekend after being nominated at the 2018 Golden Globes for best performance by an actress in a supporting role for her contributions starring as Florence Jackson in Dee Rees’ Mudbound.

The nine-time Grammy Award-winning artist celebrated her 47th birthday in style Thursday (Jan. 11), as she received the honor of her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.



The Creator of the New Jack Swing Sound: Mr. Teddy Riley (Edward Theodore Riley)

For more than 30 years Teddy Riley’s career has embodied  ingenuity as a recording artist, Songwriter, Producer, Composer, Arranger, Engineer, Music and Technology expert and World music trailblazer. With over 1000 credits to his name,the musical icon has been inducted into the Hip-hop hall of fame and was recently awarded the Soul Train Legend award for his works in creating The New Jack Swing Era of music whose impact changed the sound of R&B indelibly.

Teddy Riley was raised in St. Nicholas HousesHarlem, New York. A child prodigy from the age of five, he began playing instruments in church. His uncle, who owned the famed Harlem club The Rooftop, built a studio in the club in which Riley would spend most of his time while growing up. By 14, upstate New York rappers began making music to his tracks.
